WHFC A Windows Client for HylaFAX

What is WHFC?

WHFC is a client for the network fax server HylaFAX 4.0 - 4.3 under Windows 95/98, Windows NT/2000/XP (reported to work also under Windows Vista and XP). WHFC will not run on any 64 bit platform.

Other clients for Windows and other platforms can be found here.

HylaFAX is used for sending and receiving facsimiles as well as for sending alpha-numeric pages. The HylaFAX software is designed around a client-server architecture. Fax modems may reside on a single machine on a network and clients like WHFC can submit an outbound job from any other machine on the network. HylaFAX is free under the GPL. For more information about HylaFAX see http://hylafax.sourceforge.net and http://www.hylafax.org

If you have problems / Support

Except of the written documentation there is mostly no support, because i have suspended development due to lack of time and lack of an development system.

However, there is a lot of documentation available which should answer most of the questions.

Please read the whfc-faq first! There are hints about the printer installation, problems when only a few pages get faxed and other common problems. Documentation for version 1.2 and version 1.0 is also available, including installation instructions and links to other needed components.

A lot of useful information can be found also in the HylaFAX Mailing list archive.

Windows, Windows 95 and Windows NT are registered trademarks of Microsoft Corporation.
